The first time we had it was at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thatorganicmom.com\/good-golly-tamale\/\">Good Golly Tamale<\/a>. My children and mom love the chicken tinga tamale!<\/p>\n<p>I was inspired to capture the chicken tinga flavor and add a bit more spice. Don't worry if you aren't tolerant of spicy foods, just use less chipotle chilis! The first time I made this it was double the size of this recipe and I used a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/38KkZy4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">full can of chipotle chilis<\/a>! My kids are very spice tolerant, but my husband is not. He ate it but he said it made his nose run; as a result, I suggest you adjust accordingly!<\/p>\n<p>Fun fact: chipotle peppers are just jalape\u00f1os that have been left on the plant until they are bright red. Upon removal, they are smoke-dried to remove dehydrate the peppers and is what gives chipotle peppers that smoky flavor we all love.<\/p>\n<h3>Chipotle peppers are good for your health:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>reduce the presence of <strong>cholesterol and triglycerides<\/strong> which can both lead to life-threatening conditions. Capsaicin in the peppers widen and relax blood vessels, which can r<strong>educe blood pressure<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>studies also show that capsicum is linked to triggering cells that kill <strong>cancerous cells<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>can help manage insulin levels in <strong>diabetics<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>useful for <strong>weight loss<\/strong> by increasing the metabolism and oxidizing fat<\/li>\n<li>consuming peppers can <strong>reduce inflammation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>helps to unclog a <strong>stuffy nose<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>improves <strong>digestion<\/strong> due to fiber content<\/li>\n<li>the vitamin C in peppers helps to boost the <strong>immune system<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>macular degeneration<\/strong> and <strong>cataracts<\/strong> can be slowed
