We all hate it, we all dread it! One more thing in life that's just <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thatorganicmom.com\/even-steven-lifes-not-fair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">not fair<\/a>? If there was a way to prevent cellulite while also improving our health, who wouldn't do that? Even those of us who already have a bit of cellulite can benefit from the prevention methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Factors that can contribute to cellulite<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>increased body fat<\/li><li>fluid retention<\/li><li>a decrease in collagen production &#8211; <em>said to begin in early 20's but a significant reduction&nbsp;occurs in our&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thatorganicmom.com\/your-fabulous-forties\/\">forties<\/a><\/li><li>poor circulation<\/li><li>unhealthy diet<\/li><li>lack of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thatorganicmom.com\/love-hate-relationship-with-exercise\/\">exercise<\/a><\/li><li>hormone imbalances (<em>including the&nbsp;use of birth control pills<\/em>)<\/li><li>toxins present in the body<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00FA53Q8S\/ref=as_li_ss_il?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2YZ33A8YAM3TD&linkCode=li3&tag=that077-20&linkId=39d65fd8a35a5324f767bc6d5ea5bd92\"><img fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"  src=\"\/\/ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/widgets\/q?_encoding=UTF8&ASIN=B00FA53Q8S&Format=_SL250_&ID=AsinImage&MarketPlace=US&ServiceVersion=20070822&WS=1&tag=that077-20\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Address any of the factors that might apply to your situation for your best chance at tackling cellulite. G<em>rapefruit oil is very concentrated, so always dilute with a carrier oil before applying to skin \/ also avoid using grapefruit oil before sun exposure as it can increase sensitivity to UV rays.<\/em>&nbsp;If you bathe at night, while skin is still wet apply to skin. Just add the grapefruit oil to a carrier oil and massage into targeted areas.<em>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using Grapefruit oil&nbsp;can increase the benefits of body brushing by stimulating the lymphatic system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>One of the most recognized benefits of&nbsp;grapefruit essential oil&nbsp;and other citrus oils is their positive effect on the lymphatic system, which plays a role in your body's detoxification mechanism. I often rinse this off after using.<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If I have had a hard workout or if I've been using my fascia blaster and I have bruises or soreness, I use <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2pZytUN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Arnica gel<\/a>.&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"https:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=that077-20&l=li3&o=1&a=B01LX9IIDJ\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\"\/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to body brushing and massage, <strong>avoiding certain foods<\/strong> can help to reduce cellulite from forming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Foods to avoid<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Sugar<\/li><li>Sodium<\/li><li>Trans fats<\/li><li>Refined flours and grains<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Take note that all four of these ingredients are found in almost all fast foods and avoid fast food meals! &nbsp;Other foods can help prevent or reduce cellulite when consumed as part of a <strong>healthy diet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Foods to add<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Apple Cider Vinegar<\/li><li>Wild Caught Salmon<\/li><li>Olive Oil<\/li><li>Dark Chocolate<\/li><li>Green tea<\/li><li>Berries<\/li><li>Bone Broth<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lifestyle changes that affect cellulite<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An active lifestyle can reduce cellulite so try to get in 10,000 steps per day<\/li><li>Hight Intensity Interval Training (try these three <a href=\"http:\/\/dailyburn.com\/life\/db\/hiit-workouts-for-beginners\/\">beginner HIIT<\/a> workouts), Barre, and Pilates<\/li><li>Exercises targeting cellulite such as the ones in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/brooke-griffin\/5-exercises-to-combat-cel_b_10457234.html\">this article<\/a><\/li><li>Avoid synthetic chemicals, <strong>especially styrofoam<\/strong><\/li><li>Avoid soy in your diet<\/li><li>Drink more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thatorganicmom.com\/habit-17-add-cup-collagen-rich-bone-broth-daily\/\">bone broth<\/a><\/li><li>Supplement with <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2jl4Jy0\">collagen<\/a><\/li><li>A diet high in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thatorganicmom.com\/protein-for-breakfast-to-burn-fat\/\">protein<\/a> and healthy fats yet lower in carbs<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Just a quick note about <strong>styrofoam<\/strong>. If you do buy disposable products such as plates, cups, etc., please avoid using styrofoam as much as possible! One of my biggest pet peeves is receiving my coffee in a styrofoam cup from a <!-- tasty-links-ignore -->coffee<!-- \/tasty-links-ignore --> shop barista even after I tell her, &#8220;I'll be drinking my <!-- tasty-links-ignore -->coffee<!-- \/tasty-links-ignore --> HERE.&#8221; &nbsp;It may seem like I am picky but <strong>drinking hot liquids out of styrofoam is a big problem for your health<\/strong>. Also, Styrofoam takes&nbsp;<strong>&#8220;500 years to forever&#8221; to decompose<\/strong>. (<a href=\"http:\/\/sciencelearn.org.nz\/Contexts\/Enviro-imprints\/Looking-Closer\/Measuring-biodegradability\"><em>source<\/em><\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Plastic wrapped foods, heated in the microwave, contain some of the highest xenoestrogen levels. So do not heat food or water with plastic in the microwave. Avoid drinking coffee or other hot liquids in Styrofoam cups. And store your food in glass containers whenever possible! (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cycleharmony.com\/remedies\/hormone-imbalance\/top-10-xenoestrogens-the-primary-cause-of-estrogen-dominance\"><em>source<\/em><\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>If your gym or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thatorganicmom.com\/family-benefits-chiropractic-care\/\">chiropractors<\/a> office has a body vibration plate, try to use it as often as possible. &nbsp;Using a vibration plate can also help rid your body of cellulite. While it is useful to stand on one, most experts recommend marching in place and then moving up to doing lunges and squats on the vibration plate to gain the most benefit.
