While following the <!-- tasty-links-ignore -->THM<!-- \/tasty-links-ignore --> plan, a meal with either be fueled by fats (the authors call this &#8220;satisfying&#8221; or S meals) or carbs (referred to as &#8220;energizing&#8221; or E meals.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, there are also &#8220;Fuel Pulls,&#8221; where the fuels are very low, and &#8220;Crossovers,&#8221; where the fuels are combined. However, the <strong>crossovers are not meant for weight loss<\/strong>; once you are at your goal weight you will add in more crossovers, and those are the type of meals you will likely feed your children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To get a full scope of the diet plan, it is recommended that you read the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2UFi0TH\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"false noopener noreferrer\">Trim Healthy Mama Plan book<\/a>. It is likely the most sustainable diet plan you will ever follow. Due to the inclusive nature of the diet, it is much easier to stick to than other restrictive diets. With <!-- tasty-links-ignore -->THM<!-- \/tasty-links-ignore --> you truly won't feel like you're dieting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The original <!-- tasty-links-ignore -->THM<!-- \/tasty-links-ignore --> Stubborn Losers Menu Plan was developed by Pearl (one of the Trim Healthy Mama authors.) You can find it <a href=\"https:\/\/media.trimhealthymama.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/14180134\/Menu.Updated.Stubborn-Losers.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">online here<\/a> or on the membership site, which I do recommend joining if you are serious about following the diet. Also, please read my full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thatorganicmom.com\/trim-healthy-mama-membership-review\/\">review of the Trim Healthy Mama Membership site<\/a>. Basically, the menu is Deep S or E at most mealtimes with FP snacks and desserts. On the <!-- tasty-links-ignore -->THM<!-- \/tasty-links-ignore --> Stubborn Losers Menu will have a limited amount of dairy and not a lot of heavy S meals (unlike &#8220;dirty keto&#8221; or super cheesy recipes.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It's common sense really, the <!-- tasty-links-ignore -->THM<!-- \/tasty-links-ignore --> Stubborn Losers Menu goes back to basics. Protein with vegetables and a bit of olive oil, vinegar, and seasonings. My doctor suggested the same thing and she had no idea what <!-- tasty-links-ignore -->THM<!-- \/tasty-links-ignore --> was. Fuel cycling isn't a new concept; it's been around for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">My personal experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For me to kickstart weight loss, I get into fat-burning mode <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thatorganicmom.com\/ketogenic-lifestyle-benefits\/\">using a Ketogenic diet<\/a>, then once I am &#8220;fat-adapted&#8221; I can easily incorporate some other fuels. The diet plan is mildly-similar to a cyclic ketogenic diet, with just a bit more emphasis on carbohydrates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this way, I'm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thatorganicmom.com\/ketogenic-diet\/\">using nutritional ketosis to stop hunger cravings<\/a>, and it works beautifully. Then I have learned to add in some sweet potatoes and grains on occasion. My main goal is to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thatorganicmom.com\/avoiding-metabolic-syndrome\/\">avoid metabolic syndrome<\/a>, which can cause obesity and lead to diabetes. Everyone is different and no two people will have the same results from any given diet plan. Do what works for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following is a similar stubborn losers menu plan I created for our local <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thatorganicmom.com\/ideas-thm-group-meetings\/\">Trim Healthy Mama group<\/a> to use together to boost our results. The consensus among our local THM group is that we often get in a real rut with what we eat and we need to remind ourselves to juggle fuels more! <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If this isn't enough food for you, I would suggest adding in things like side salads, celery stalks, cucumbers, and other veggie fillers. Also, drinking lots of hot tea helps you get from meal to meal, but <strong>with THM &nbsp;you should not be going hungry<\/strong>. This is not a starvation diet. If you need to eat more than what I have listed, you should follow your instinct. This is simply the meal plan that I and other members of my group followed to boost our results.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is a <strong>Fuel Cycle Idea Menu on pages 225- 230<\/strong> which has the days laid out for you. &nbsp;My menu&nbsp;is based on the same <strong>idea<\/strong>&nbsp;only <strong>switching up fuels during the days instead of having each day consist of only one fuel<\/strong>. Many members of our group were able to lose several pounds using this menu plan. <em>Just make sure you are leaving a good 3 hours between fuel types and go light on dairy and nuts<\/em>!!
